Hi everyone,
Since the beginning of this year, I've been working (w/ my designer friend) on the v2 of my product, it's live now except for some features (team sharing, stripe integration, and field validations).
I aim to do a proper launch after I complete the whole feature set.
I tried my best to tell a story and hid some little details & messages on the landing page.
Let me know what you think!
This is a sweet landing page, there's no denying it. Also, if your goal is to make an amazing landing page, you've definitely done that.
Some honest feedback:
"Your <form> but it actually works." Doesn't really explain to me what the product is. Even with the sub-heading "Make your HTML <form> completely functional under 2 minutes." If you look at a major player in this market, Wufoo, their headline is "Easy-to-Use Online Form Builder For Every Organization." Obviously they've been around a long time and have tightened up their copy, but it explains exactly what their product is. At the bottom of the page I think the copy is much better: "Hassle Free Forms. Create an account and start collecting submissions for your HTML forms, it only takes 2 minutes to setup your form."
There are too many animations. I get the whole feel of interactivity, and I think the little demo is brilliant, however, all the motion littered throughout the page feels over the top.
The section "Of Course, Works with" is cluttered, why not just put a list instead of having to know the logos. E.g. Works with: SquareSpace, Wix, etc.
Overall: it's very clear you're a talented designer, don't lose sight of the fact that you're selling something here, it's not an interactive art piece. Most people who are the decision makers will only care about the core features and the price.
The landing page is beautiful but what the site does isn't very clear until I reached this FAQ: "Formcarry allows you to collect submissions from your own designed HTML <form> without coding any backend..."
I think this should be on the top and immediately clear to the visitor which is the purpose of your landing page.
Hey Bobby, thanks a lot for your time and effort to make this comment. It's been helpful, and I appreciate that.
Getting feedback before the launch was a good choice for me.
I think most people couldn't understand the purpose of the product because of the initial copy "Your HTML <form>...." I'll consider something simple to change that.
"Works with section" isn't done yet, I consider making a docs tutorial for each of the logos and it will redirect you to the relevant tutorial when you click one of the logos, so that's going to change.
I'm not the designer of the landing page BTW, I'm a full-stack dev. A friend of mine has done the design.
I truly believe that if you do something that you don't have to, if you put another +1 to your work people notice it, that's why I worked on that much on the whole product for a year, that's a path that I want to be in my life, I'm still pretty young and earning money isn't hard for me, I'll push my boundaries and skillset to the core to improve as much as possible.
Bobby nailed this. I came to say the same thing (sell first, design second). I built a 7-figure business from a crap 2-page website, and the landing page was garbage haha. Even my business now won't win design awards, but homepage converts sign-ups because of a clear value proposition.
Even though fabform.io competes with you. I have to admit that is a very nice looking website and it has inspired me that I will now need to redesign the fabform.io site.
Did you design the site yourself?
Bravo! This has to be one of the best-looking landing pages I’ve ever seen. 👏
Curious . . . What did the process of creating it look like?
I’m sure you’ve put considerable thought and effort into it.
Also, there are some slight spelling, grammar, and flow mistakes sprinkled throughout.
For example:
Nothing major, but I am happy to help you clean those up if you’d like.
Lastly, I hope you’re testing 2-3 traction channels in addition to creating a great product.
The last thing you want to do is focus on product development to the exclusion of everything else because the reality is . . . Not having a clear way to get more traction after a product launch is the number one cause of failure for early-stage startups.
Super slick. Well done!
Congratulations on formcarry v2.
Excited to see the product grow further.
Thank you, Emre!
glad you like it, let's see how it goes :)
My initial thought was "one year on a landing page?!" but after visiting it..
Damn, that's a beauty!
The only thing if I may suggest, is that the buttons are not obvious that they are buttons. Before clicking on them, I hesitated as I wasn't sure if they are part of a screenshot or real button. That goes for most of the buttons.
It's too quirky for my taste.
Just here to echo that the H1 and other headings don't do your site/product justice.
"Features that you'll ever need." feels like it's missing a word or two, and doesn't sit well as an actual value prop. "Your HTML <form>, but it actually works." is difficult for me to process with the additional icons interrupting the reading flow. I also feel like your future demo might not be experienced developers, who can make forms easily. I suspect it would be no-code people and newbie developers working with Wordpress, so even putting <form> in the H1 might be confusing and hinder your growth.

This is dope, it's just quirky enough to be engaging and interesting but not so much that it becomes annoying
The interactivity is nuts, I'd love to learn more about how it was built
The actual product itself seems interesting too, definitely will keep an eye on it
Wow! Absolutely incredible, beautifully crafted landing page!
For me it was fully clear what your product does after I went through the demo (which is also very nicely done, very clear and shows what to expect). Before that demo, though, I wasn't completely sure.
As a developer myself I have come across similar solutions in the past so I had an idea already, but wasn't completely sure.
I feel like adding a little bit more to "Make your HTML <form> completely functional under 2 minutes." could help a lot!
thank you for your kind words. I'll definitely figure out something better and simple for the headline!
It looks extremely good, and I must say that I enjoyed browsing through the site.
One thing I found a bit confusing was on the pricing page, where you compare features of each plan. I find that the missing features on each plan are not clearly displayed, and since the copy doesn't change it's hard to see what you are actually missing out on at a glance.
Other than that it is a great website, good job.
It looks absolutely fantastic. Great copy too.
thanks a lot for your time to share so many meanings thoughts,
it is beauty that your landing page
could u share more how to complete it?
Don't know what it does but feels beautiful. A bit laggy on mobile.
I quite like some of the interactions and animations going on.
One criticism I have is I feel the page is too long. I feel there is several pages of content forced onto one page. It takes a while to get to the bottom where there's much more info about your app and what it does.
wow, this is a great product!
who's behind it? would love to know the story!
I just signed up and get my form up and running in just a few minutes, great work!
Great design, the copy could be a little better ;)
At first I was like, "why the hell did you spend an entire year building a landing page". Now I see why. Great job.
This is absolutely beautiful!
That looks amazing, congratulations!
This is crazy good, well done. Not something you an accomplish with off-the-shelf WordPress template 😅
Those animations are awesome! The website is very clean and I liked the apple-like style, congrats!
Looks amazing, congrats!!!
This is super impressive! The interactivity is top notch.
Very slick! That walkthrough and those animations are incredible. Nicely done.
Looks amazing, congrats on the launch!
Can I ask what you're using for documentation? Looks great.
Ah - got it: https://notaku.so/
I've decided to register at Indiehackers and just seen this post and that was EXACTLY a thing I was looking for. Just waiting for your Stripe integration and I'm your client! Can I be notified?
Sure thing! would you mind dropping me a message to the live chat on the website? would like discuss about Stripe integration :)
I love it ❤️
This looks phenomenal. congratulations and all the best on the launch!
Looks nice! Typing into the rounded form is a bit weird and there’s the dreaded horizontal scrollbar. But, you clearly went all-out on the animations and transitions. The rounded elements give it a cool and unique look that I haven’t seen anywhere else
Thank's a lot for your kind words!
There are a couple of reasons why the input is curved:
I couldn't see the scrollbar, would you mind sending a screenshot? I can happily fix that.
@nusu sure, screenshot link expires in a month https://dropover.cloud/e98e44dba548b16b7c9515b8b021be0d
I've been using Formcarry for a few years now and I'm really happy with their service.
V2 version looks really AMAZING. it's a big job!
There is no limit to what you can do with Formcarry.
I like the use of icons and interactive feel. Looks great!
This is absolutely gorgeous - this might be the nicest landing page I've seen.
Congratulations!
looks good! What is your primary channel to acquire customers? reddit/twitter/fb/google?
Wow! Looks really great! Especially I liked the way you show how it all works in action. And it adds interactivity which engages visitors.
Thanks a lot! glad you liked it :)
In my opinion it's just too much, it looks beautiful but the best design will combine form and function, this goes too far into form. It feels like a candy store where the real potential valuable customer is trying to solve a problem, not be entertained.
The first thing I tried below the claim "Your HTML Form but it actually works" is enter asdfasdf in the e-mail field, and it didn't work. Apparently that isn't a form but a link, and it doesn't even validate that my e-mail is somewhat correct. After that I tried the "click here for some magic" button, which didn't copy anything to my clipboard (Firefox on MacOS).
I don't believe the claim that it's used by 30,000 businesses.
Don't get me wrong, it's great overall - these are just some critical points.

good catch it's design copy. This will change along with how it works section

That was a little hard to believe for me. If it's being used by 30k+ businesses, it must be really successful, so it's surprising that it's posted here at all.
I also want to know
