SHOW UP AND TRUST THE PROCESS | How we got 15 new signups for thinkoutloud with a LinkedIn post

I hate when people ask me to buy stuff and disturb my feed with promotional posts.

I am a huge fan of building in public and just sharing my work. I've realized that this is one of the best sales tools an indie founder can use.
You build trust with people by opening yourself and becoming vulnerable.

The clue here is that the outcome is random and takes time. I didn't expect this post to bring new signups but it did. That's why I am focusing only on what I can control which in this case is to show up!

Here is an example of how a single post brought us 15 new signups for thinkoutloud.io, the SaaS product I am building with Scott, a fellow indiehacker!

If you are new to my journey, on June 2020 I quit my job with a year of savings (32.000€) to chase my dream of becoming a full-time IndieHacker. I had no specific plans or project ideas to work on. Only a goal, some savings and my skills. Since then I share every week what happens behind the scenes.

Feel free to join me on my journey, and to check all the updates I 've published so far!

I think this is really interesting for that percentage of people that want you the developer or founder to know what's going through their head as they experience your product. This works for people/s feedback on your website, your onboarding, and your UI/UX on any app with controls. It will be interesting to see the use cases people apply to it because I can bet they will be outside of your expectations simply because it's so versatile.

Yes exactly! I ll keep sharing everything here also when we start onboarding people and learn from them - it's an exciting journey and I am really curious to see how this product will turn out :D
