Newsletter: Bytesized Weekly
What is it: a weekly newsletter rounding up new and interesting things in software development
Number of subscribers: 3563
Average open rate: 53.75%
Average click rate: 10.68%
Number of emails sent: 124k

What I'm doing this month (September 2020):

This month, I'm redoing my newsletter!

I've been writing a weekly roundup for almost a year, and although I've received good feedback on it, I want to write something a little more singular and interesting.

In particular, I'm really inspired by @DruRiley's trends.vc, and I'm kicking around something similar to that in the software space.

Frequent (but maybe not weekly) emails covering a single software topic or tool, super well-researched, and providing a ton of value.

I'm working on a couple example drafts right now, and I'm going to share them in the [Mailing List Hackers chat][mlh] to get feedback later this month.

Let me know in the comments how your newsletter is going, and what you're working on this month!

What is it: A weekly newsletter discovering new
resources and articles to supercharge your productivity, creativity and thoughts.
Now with interviews to makers & designers.

Number of emails sent: First round, 30. Now on the second, 17.

What I'm doing this month (September 2020):

I am actually reworking the newsletter. The newsletter comes from my first project but because of what it has become I am separating it from that site and giving it a new name too.

Also I used to be on Substack and now Moved to Email Octopus.

I also made a custom email address for it so I increase my deliverabilty, hopefully.

I am working on the newsletter's website right now where it will house the 3 links most clicked on every issue and the interviews.

I am also coding the new newsletter so it looks a bit cleaner.

    This is the old newsletter.

    This is the new one

I will send until the 20th Issue with Substack, so I get time to work on the site and new newsletter properly.

        Nice, that makes me glad.

It is going find, not a big deal in terms of what should I do now?

The itchy part is in writing the template in html... is my first time and is taking its time to be honest.

Then well, the website is almost done.

I share a lot about the newsletter on Twitter.

        I will absolutely join.

        Thank you for that.

What are you renewing on your newsletter?
