I wanted to share a small but exciting milestone for Showesome Screen Recorder!
Over the last 2 days, the number of users grew from 19 to 59. Not huge by some standards, but for a solo project that’s still pretty encouraging.
Here’s what I learned:
Constantly iterating and pushing updates seems to keep things interesting for early users.
Sharing the tool in communities like IndieHackers, Reddit, Product Hunt, and X really drives early traction.
Clear messaging around privacy, simplicity, and “no signup walls” makes a difference — users notice and trust the extension more.
It’s a small milestone, but it feels motivating. Every new user is someone trying the tool and giving feedback, and that’s invaluable as I continue to iterate.
Would love to hear how other solo devs approach early user growth for extensions or micro-tools!
