I am a solo founder building a Knowledge-base SaaS.
I am well aware that the biggest challenge is not the product, but the sales. So today I decided to dedicate my time to reaching out to founders of B2B SaaS businesses.
Since my product helps businesses create a support center / knowledge base, that seemed like a good place to start.
Have sent around 200 messages, InMails, e-mails and DMs today.
Let's see what the response is like.
Fingers crossed. 🤞🏻
If I am to follow this model, I would be selling on one day, and building the product the next day.
And rinse and repeat.
Does the model appear sustainable in the long run? Honestly, I have no idea, but chances are I would need to switch to, or figure out a better model.
1 day development - 1 day sales would probably end up killing any momentum acquired during the later half of the day. Also, it might take a good few hours every morning just to get into the zone of the day's mode.
But, let's get the ball rolling first, and worry about optimising the model at a later date.
Making 100 sales
Current status: 4 sales.
You're doing a great job tackling all the comprehensive parts of your SaaS. Clicking through this news looks like you’ve got it sorted - way to go!
Thanks. :)
You may explore 1-week sales, followed by 3 days of development & repeat. You may adjust development duration according to user feedbacks.
Makes sense. I thought of doing 1:1 for a week so that at least I can get the ball rolling, because in past what has happened with me is that I have "all intentions" of starting sales, but then somehow building those "super cool" features.....and that's 2 weeks gone.
So, just trying to grease up the wheels, and then figure out a methodology that works better, and so on and so forth.
Wish you luck
Thanks. Will be sharing every day progress and work.
I will try this soon. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks. Do let me know if you would want to try it out for Victrays.
