Sign-up forms that don't slow down website?

Does anyone know of an inline sign-up form WordPress plug-in that won't slow down my website (like Sumo did)?

I'm looking for a simple sign-up box I can insert halfway down my articles on to capture emails & add to my list in MailChimp.

Hey Tyler, why not just use MailChimp's "unstyled" embed form? You can do straight HTML so there won't be any slow down: https://mailchimp.com/help/add-a-signup-form-to-your-website/
