πŸš€ Simple or Complex Landing Page? Day #2

Landing pages are often designed to be as simple and straightforward as possible, but can they actually be more effective when they are more complex and difficult to understand? Complexity of the page can create a sense of mystery and intrigue, which can lead to higher conversion rates 🀷

Last week I got GREAT feedback about https://loopcard.io from @Dk_matusik, @tobyzerner and @rudni4ok (thank you everyone!!!), here is a summary:

  1. Give more information so I can decide if I want to purchase the product.
  2. The landing page should provide more information about how it works and what it looks like to persuade customers to sign up.
  3. The product description needs to be more clear and concise, and the CTA should be changed to something more inviting.
  4. Use cases should be described in detail or hidden from the navigation, and testimonials or case studies should be added to create trust.

So what I did this week?

  1. Make the hero title clearer - "Losing valuable customers?"
  2. CTA clearer - "Try me, it's easy"
  3. Improve the promise to - "Boost your customer engagement & retention by adding loopCard"

Will you try me now? How is v2 looks like? https://loopcard.io

  1. 1

I haven't read the previous post or seen the v1 so I will just give my opinion based on the new version rather than trying to comment on how much has it improved.

    1. CTA should be simple, the current one is not giving that vibe, the reason for that is I thought that it was just a paid platform as your pricing table does not mention the free plan which is really bad, which resulted in me not even try to click the CTA at first.

So I think you should add about the free plan as a column in the pricing table and not just the popup.

    1. The second issue with CTA is that it should gain the visitor's attention, but the Green Arrow is way more eye-catching than the CTA + the green color does not match the website's color system in my opinion.

I would suggest replacing the graphic with something more meaning full and which does not take away users' attention.

Also, the graph does not show any growth, the bottom image should show the graph going down and the above one should show it going up.

You need to make those graphics rather than taking screenshots by editing some values in dev tools.

    1. Honestly speaking I don't have any understanding of what your tool does. I get it that it helps in retaining the customers but how, it does not at all tell me what I will get.

An analogy to understand your case will be like Netflix, saying

      "Getting bored?"
"Get rid of your boredom by using Netflix, get a dose of dopamine every time you use Netflix"

This does not at all tell me what I will get.
Will Netflix give me medicine, a person to talk to, podcasts, movies, a tv cable connection, or daily access to Disneyland?

You need to be more clear with what the user will get and how are you going to achieve this *"Boost your customer engagement & retention" for them.

For example, here is what Netflix actually says:

"Unlimited movies, TV shows, and more"
      "Watch anywhere. Cancel anytime."
"Ready to watch? Enter your email to create or restart your membership."

It's clear what I will get (i.e. movies, TV shows) and it also ensures me that I can cancel at any time, so I have nothing to lose. And after this, they ask me for an Email.

    1. I will suggest you add some more content on the landing page, which should include what are your features, and how can you help the user - with some high-quality images/gifs/videos of the platform so the user has some ideas, of what they will get.

Right now your Homepage just has a hero section and pricing table.

The blog section does not seem relevant to me on this page, from the blog title I understand those are blogs for SEO and do not have anything to do with the platform. You can just add a link to the blog page in the navbar.

And to justify your question, will adding these new sections make your landing page complex, no I will make users' life easier, everything they need to know about your product will be here.

I don't think someone who is looking to invest $400/$800 per month will not even research and will be confident with such little info, your page does not at all convey how paying this much will help them.

Also if they are losing customers, they might not have the largest cash flow so they will be more hesitant to spend money on the platform, which means you need to be more convincing.

    1. Some small things

      a. I don't think you should include "LoopCard Watermark" in a package that is $399/month. Tho I will agree I am not sure what the product is, so maybe the price is justified as competitors are much more costly.

      b. I am not sure if you're going to add some content to the "Use Cases" pages but if not then it would be better to just make a section on the landing page with some cards of each use case as that will be way more convenient UX.
