Simple Pitch Deck?

Hi all,

I'm thinking about my pitch deck at the moment, and whilst I've seen some very intricate pitch decks online, I'm thinking, should I keep it simple?

When I say simple, I literally mean with simple headings and the basic information.

In my mind, I'm thinking this allows investors more time to concentrate on me, instead of what's on the deck itself.

Afterall, investors don't just invest in the idea, they also invest in the person behind the idea right?

Also, what software is good for creating a pitch deck? Keynote should suffice shouldn't it?? Or am I being rather basic on this?
