Simple product roadmap strategy ๐ŸŒŸ

If you had already launched your beta, probably you already faced this BEAUTIFUL trouble.

MANAGING FEATURE REQUESTS

Before it gets messy, I need a plan, a strategy that I can stick to, and help me make decisions.

  1. Whatever it is that I am making can classify into either of two types, necessary and creative/fun/cool kind of feature.

  2. Then I have got to think about how many customers I can get from what I am building now. Well, time is $.

But of course, there are few things which are cool but not really if it addresses many customers, So I am just going to leave those to weekends.

  1. Momentum is vital for startups. So after listing down the features, I have got to sort it by the estimated time it takes to complete and preferably start with the easy ones.

  2. Balance is the key to building successful products. So I am thinking of spending Mondays and Tuesdays on creating what's necessary and other three days on something fresh, unique, creative.

Well, it sounds like I am a bit inclining towards the creative side, but that's How I want to build my company indifferent to if it's successful or not.

Here's my feature request discussion board if you want to take a look at it.
If you need a community page on your site to get some feedback, too, let me know. I Will set up one for you also ๐Ÿฅณ.

What do you think? Am I missing something?
