Simple server monitoring service idea feedback
SaaS idea - simple server monitoring tool.
I’m a full stack developer and manage many servers for Wordpress. I’m not a server admin, so I’ve always wanted something simple where I could monitor RAM, CPU, Storage, etc. There are many other tools out there for this, but seem crazy complicated.
Ideally this product would be something where you sign up, add your digital ocean/aws/linode api key and it would automatically set everything else up to monitor everything in one place with very friendly dashboard and easy to digest with a mobile app.
Target market would be developers like myself not wanting to touch servers. I would setup a landing page with a sign up form with screen shots of how it would look and see if I could generate interest or validation.
Would you pay for something like this or have any thoughts about this idea or my validation idea?
I'd use something like this for sure. Will be following along.
Is there a risk to me giving your app my API key, doesn't that also allow your app to create new droplets, delete things etc? If that is the case, then as a user i have to fully trust you, or I have to be unaware of what can be done with that API key. Right?
I’m not 100% sure actually on that side of things. More than likely I believe so. Maybe an option to install from the command line would be preferable?
