Simple store front with stripe checkout?
Looking to sell digital products. Any minimal store front that just lets me add an item, attach a file and connect to stripe checkout? Prefer something by indie hacker if possible. I’m aware of woocomerce and easy digital downloads, Shopify etc... but want something more simple and minimal.
When I launched my book I built my own order processing handling Stripe (easy) and Paypal (less easy). Then one morning, after 9-10 months, I decided to try Podia https://www.podia.com/ I knew I was going to launch another digital product in the following months and my book was covering the monthly cost. So far (after 1 month) I'm very happy with this change. I did not had the time to have an easy way to a) change price and b) create coupon with my own product page. Those are very easy to do in Podia. Also I was using a manual way of emailing customers, this is built-in in the product. If you're planning on multiple products this might help you save time, but maybe not at first.
Gumroad to me might have worked but a) why are they requiring my SSN to handle payment this is a HUGE no go to me and b) like you said, there's no storefront to handle multiple product.

I guess what I really had in mind was something like Creative Market where you get your own shop page but also get included in the entire market collection. The only thing I don't like about that platform is that you are not directly collecting money (or so I think) and they take a 30% cut which I find to be quite ridiculous. Maybe I'm being naive, but it feels like an opportunity to me. Marketplace with your own page, super simple, gets included in the whole of the marketplace, direct payments, 100% revenue kept up to certain sales amount, then charge a smaller percentage. I see a bunch of graphic sites selling graphic assets but they seem segmented into their own sites and do not pool into a larger audience.

I second Squarespace as well. I just launched an integration with their new Inventory API so you can now sync your Squarespace inventory in real-time with Etsy, Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and Faire.

Check out Gumroad. Perfect for digital downloads. Main downside IMO is the front end is lacking from a customization standpoint.

Last time I checked gumroad I can’t remember seeing a storefront - it seemed to target individual products. I’ll check it out again.
I never used Gumroad as a publisher but I have bought many digital products on their platform. What I have seen publishers doing is to have single products and also bundle products when they want to offer more than one product. It seems like a great tool for publishers and you could solve the lack of a storefront with a single page website perhaps built on Squarespace as others suggested.
