Anyone else thinking Slack pricing is expensive here?
As I worked at a small bootstrapped company, every dollar counts. Management doesn't want to pay for a full subscription to the dominant chat platform, so we lose information from previous chats with coworkers. Then I made our own slack messages archiving tools and surprisingly it worked at my company.
By this tools, we could make our messages searchable and cut our Slack bills to zero with the cost of losing 1 slot of Slack integration. However, we saved roughly $140 every months because we stick with free plan.
Any thoughts of this? Would you pay for such a service? Feedback are welcome!
Sounds interesting. I would consider the service if I use Slack often:-)
Interesting idea! I'd be a little concerned that Slack might not love what you're doing though...
Sounds like you have a good product idea if you can just keep the prices significantly lower than paying for slack itself! The more closely your product resembles the functionality of slack (searching, file organization, etc.), the more you could charge for it.
Yes, that's what I'm concerned about. However, I think there are some workaround too (with some degree of complexity). But it should work
