Slide decks really haven't change much, have they?

I wanted to reach out and run an idea by the community & hopefully connect with some folks who have experience or feedback in the target area.

I've been thinking way too much about slide decks / presentations lately. It all started when I saw a post on LinkedIn that read,

"I hate decks! Dislike being in meetings where someone is leading with one...
Even worse is when I have to create & use one when I'm leading
BUT for a massively important meeting this morning, I put one together"

• and I realized that slide decks really haven't changed much in the last decade despite how ubiquitous they seem to be. The post above made me figure that currently are a few problems worth solving in deck land:

• Why do decks have to be static? how can presentations be more collaborative
• How can deck slides be more engaging / interesting?
• How can deck meetings go from very inefficient -> very efficient in terms of time and productivity

I've got a few ideas to solve the above that I'm baking into an MVP, but I'm personally not a person who has made lots of decks or relies much on decks for work.

Are you someone that either does / or has in the past had to make and maintain slide decks as part of your daily work? perhaps for sales, teaching, onboarding, customer success, etc.,? I'd love to chat with you and pick your brain a bit about your experiences.
