So, I think I posted around a year ago about launching a job board for a specific market. Due to other circumstances, I put it on the back burner.
This week I have finally purchased my Wordpress theme, hashed together a logo & created myself some socials.
Over the next few weeks I will be tweaking my website & trying to refine by attraction technique.
It's very much a chicken/egg situation - what do I get first? Job seekers or Jobs? This is very much a rambling start but, hey, I'm just super happy to be in my current position that I can spare some hours to get this started.
Feeling positive.
Job offers are mandatory, to attract people, drive traffic to your website and communicate on social networks. Even other recruiters won't post job offers if your job board is empty.
Yeah so I have a bunch of recruiters who are happy for me to post their jobs onto my website for free because, well, it's free.
From there, I will be communicating job posts using Twitter/LinkedIn. The idea is to offer mailing alerts for when jobs are added which match criteria for each user. I just need to start finding the users who are likely to be interested in my jobs I'm posting. Again, this will be done through LinkedIn & I also will participate in some local MeetUp events to start getting some information passed around.
