Small victory: issue #90 of my newsletter

Very happy to announce I published last Friday the issue #90 of my newsletter Le Courrier du hacker https://lecourrierduhacker.com, a weekly digest of French-speaking Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) latest news published each Friday.

We have 2,000 subscribers, open rate is between 50 and 55%, click rate from 30 to 35%. Following people asking for it, I opened a Mastodon and Twitter accounts in order to also publish on social networks this newsletter.

Following a conflict with Mailchimp freezing the account for 10 days with no reason (just updated my settings to add my payment details :( I store the past issues in external archives on the official website of the project https://lecourrierduhacker.com/archives Lots of people now read the past issues from theses archives thanks to the rss feed. Thanks Mailchimp :)

I tried to monetize for a time but I think the audience is still to small. I display a sponsor banner for one of my other projects, a job board for the French FOSS community, so the newsletter drives traffic to this job board, which is ok even if I'd like to find other sponsors eventually.
