Small win, big deal for me. Just shipped the first version of cross-device sync for Lamia Hub and it does NOT require a cloud account.

How it works: your phone and laptop discover each other on the same local network, exchange an encrypted handshake, and sync your data directly. No server in the middle. No account. No "log in with Google." Your data stays on your devices.

This was the #1 feature request from my Product Hunt launch — three different commenters asked for it within the same hour. Took me 11 days to ship solo, which I'm honestly proud of. The hard part wasn't the networking, it was conflict resolution — what happens when you edit the same note on both devices offline. Ended up using a CRDT-lite approach with last-writer-wins as a fallback. Not perfect, but good enough for v1.

Already seeing the impact: D7 retention ticked up about 4 points in the first week after launch. People who sync stick around.

Next up: QR-code sync as an alternative for people who don't want to deal with local network permissions (especially painful on iOS).

If anyone here has shipped LAN sync before — would love to compare notes on the iOS Safari limitations. They are brutal.
