Smaller Country, Bigger Opportunity?

Hey Guys,

I'm a digital marketer (more specifically, a funnel hacker).

I'm currently based in Portugal, I speak Portuguese and most companies and entrepreneurs here are not very keen on digital marketing strategies. We are just behind.

So the available digital marketing content in Portuguese is still relatively small and this may prove to be an opportunity.

On the other hand, I want to move to the states and most of my consulting clients are there and obviously pay better, but at the same, there are a whole lot more "gurus" and specialists than you would find here.

So my question is, should I focus on my local market and create content in Portuguese or focus in the states, even though it may be more saturated?
Is there anything I'm missing?

IMO you should primarily create content in the language with the largest audience (English).

BUT, if you can also produce localised content to a high degree of quality, GO FOR IT!

For some reason, people always discount non-English speaking countries.

About 1 in 3 of my customers are Italian or Spanish (through pure accident and just being willing to pay for the Google Ads). I have to run support through Google Translate, but they don't care - they have the same needs as any English-speaking country!

no brainer, go after the biggest market possible

Have you considered setting up two landing pages? One in Portuguese and one in English and running both for awhile? Then invest more resources in the one that performs better
