Smart Link Cleaner: Privacy-first URL cleaner Chrome extension for removing UTM, gclid, fbclid tracking parameters

Smart Link Cleaner is a privacy-first Chrome extension that cleans URLs by removing tracking parameters like UTM tags, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, and other common campaign and click IDs. I built it because I share links constantly and got tired of pasting messy, tracked URLs into Slack, email, Notion, Reddit, and social posts. A clean URL is easier to read, looks more trustworthy, and avoids accidental tracking when you share.

The workflow is intentionally simple: one click and you get a clean link copied to your clipboard. No account, no sign-in, no cloud sync, and no heavy permissions. It’s local-first by design, so the link cleaning happens on your machine.
