So l am thinking of creating my own social network.
I have a group of 450k combined with my partner of 800k member. We have been thinking of gradually moving our members to our own socail media community. What better script do you suggest aside phpfox for a start.l look forward to your contribution and suggestions.
Secondly building an app or website...which way to go first.
I'm assuming your current groups are on one of existing social media platform like Facebook? First of all I would like to ask "Why you need your own social network?"
Secondly building and maintaining our our online community is not easy as it sounds. Don't forget about technicalities and legal obligations.
Our group is an african fashion group where we showcase african styles only .we want to expand outside facebook so we can connect the respective african designers to our users.we keep getting order request from the users in the group.and we have to manually contact the designers each time. The groups keeps growing day by day and the order request as well.we also want a bit of control.the ever changing algorithms is making it difficult to get a better reach of all our users.
