Social/Travel -> Technical Founder -> Have a potential idea -> Looking for a well-rounded co-founder!

Hey All!

My name is Alex and I'm a Canadian self-taught developer who's currently working in his first year as a backend engineer at a FAANG level company. The learning curve has been steep but I'm incredibly fortunate to find myself in this position and I'm grateful for it everyday. While I love what I do, the original rationale for me teaching myself to code was always to eventually pursue more entrepreneurial ambitions.

With that being said, I've recently started developing an idea and doing some early stage validation within the consumer social (specifically social travel niche) and am starting to lean towards this being an opportunity to actually start building out my first major project.

I'm looking for a potential co-founder who is interested in starting a venture within this space at an earlier more "relaxed" bootstrapped pace (I'm still working full time but open to going full-time on the project with some traction) and is interested in having some general conversations before we dive into the idea itself. I come from a finance background and can contribute heavily on the business, engineering and marketing sides of the project.

Remote works well, but ideally you are located within Canada/US with bonus points if you're in the Vancouver or Seattle area (you can probably guess where I work based on this hah).
