Soft launching a tiny SaaS for freelancers

I’m soft launching Folio, a one page site generator for freelancers who want something fast, clean, and conversion-focused.

The idea came from my own frustration with AI pages and website builders that eat hours but don’t deliver leads.

If you’ve ever built or sold services, I’d love your honest feedback.

  1. 1

Just checked out folio.cx — clean and fast as promised.

A few thoughts from someone who's worked with freelancers:

    What I liked:

    • The focus on "one page" is smart. Most freelancers overcomplicate their presence. Simplicity is a feature.
    • Fast load times matter for credibility. This delivers.

    Questions / feedback:

    1. What's the differentiation from Carrd? Carrd is the obvious comparison ($19/yr for pro). Is it the freelancer-specific templates? The conversion focus? Worth making that clear upfront.

    2. "Conversion-focused" — how? I'd love to see specific features that help convert visitors (contact form analytics, CTA testing, lead capture integrations). If these exist, surface them prominently.

    3. Pricing page: I couldn't find it easily. Transparency on pricing before signup helps — especially for freelancers who are cost-sensitive.

    4. Social proof: Even a couple of beta user testimonials ("I got X leads in Y weeks") would help build trust.

The pain point is real — website builders are time sinks. If you can position this as "fast + conversion-focused" with proof, you've got something.

What's your pricing model looking like?
