Soft vs “official” launch
I'm currently building tool that let’s you beautify embed google sheets or Airtable data into your website.
Right now I’m trying to get people on the waiting list using basic landing page - https://sheetsview.netlify.app
What launch strategy you prefer and why?

Reach out every person from waiting list with a personal email. Offer them early bird subscription for a low price. Later on launch on a PH

Launch on the Product Hunt from day 1 and send people from waiting list notification about the launch. Also trying to promote on Twitter and other social media

If you’re fortunate enough to have a waiting list, approach them in batches and use their feedback to help you iterate on your product. I would definitely not approach them all at once. After several rounds you’ll have product/market fit or you’ll decide the idea doesn’t have legs, and you can move forward to a more public launch or move on.
