Sold Sponsorship Via Swapstack

Hey Newsletter Creators,

Wanted to update you all on my first successful sale of a week of sponsored newsletters from a company within the space that my newsletter focuses on
of chemicals, polymers, and plastics. I had about 585 free email sign-ups at the time and I made the pitch for sponsorship to a recruiter that was trying to poach me from my current day job to a competitor.

I had no desire to move to Ennis, Texas and I mentioned that I could possibly get her some referrals through a newsletter that I run in the chemical and polymer science space. I sent her a link to my newsletter to check out and I had signed up for a swapstack account awhile ago so the link was there for her to click on and within about 24 hours I had my first request on swapstack priced at $100/week (2 newsletters for me). The picture is an example of what it looked like in the newsletter.

The payment cleared via Stripe and the money is in my bank account. The recruiter was happy with the brand awareness she got despite not getting any prospects for the role she was trying to fill. She also told me that I could possibly charge more for it so that was interesting to hear.

I cross promoted via Twitter and LinkedIn as well, which she felt also was worth the money.

My plan is to go subscriber model when I hit 1000 free signups, but I am definitely happy to work with companies to do sponsorships.
