Solo dev, 15 live apps, no funding — AMA I'm Brandon, building consumer apps solo from Silicon Valley. No team, no VC. Just shipping.

15 apps across wellness, fitness, finance, and productivity — all live at bmcksapps.com. Highlights: MindReset (breathing + AI journaling), CalorieCrush (meal tracking + AI planner), AstralPath (astrology with 12 features), FitCrush, BudgetBoss, SleepWell, BrainForge, and more.

Biggest lesson: Distribution beats product. A decent app with great distribution wins every time.

15 live apps solo is wild. The distribution point hits hard for consumer apps because the feature list matters less than the exact moment someone searches for a pain.

For nutrition/fitness, I’m seeing the same thing while testing MetricSync: broad keywords like “calorie tracker” are noisy, but feature-intent searches like photo food logging, barcode logging, and fast meal estimates map much closer to someone ready to try an app.

Curious if CalorieCrush gets most of its discovery from app-store search, web search, or the shared AI layer across your apps.

Hey everyone! This is the full breakdown of how I got here. Happy to answer questions about: - How I manage 12+ apps solo - Why consumer apps still work - How Aria AI powers every app - Revenue breakdown by app - Tech stack decisions - Why this matters for solo founders Ask away!

The distribution over product take is something most solo devs learn way too late, usually after building something great that nobody finds.

15 live apps solo is genuinely impressive but curious how you handle discoverability across all of them without spreading yourself too thin on promotion.

Because building is the easy part at this point, getting the right eyes on it consistently is where most indie devs quietly give up.

I've been using Key Words for the algorithm to catch my blog posts in searches and have an analytics page with a per app breakdown of visits, sessions, pay clicks, Aria chats, credits used and revenue. Always open to suggestions!

That’s a solid workflow, Using blog keywords is great for long-tail traffic, but with 15 apps, you might find Digital PR much more efficient for scaling.

If you get these apps mentioned in high-authority outlets (like MSN or Yahoo Finance), it creates a 'Moat' for your brand. Beyond the Do-Follow juice, it significantly helps LLMs (ChatGPT/Gemini) recognize your apps as authoritative sources in AI-driven searches.

Since you mentioned being open to suggestions, focusing on these high-authority 'Power Mentions' could automate your distribution way better than manual blogging. Happy to brainstorm how this could work for your niche!

inspiring. I built 6 apps before I realized it....and my 7th was a distribution app😁 since I figured i didn't know how to GTM/distribute. It's called GitProduct dot com - you can see them listed there. How do you sell/where do you sell/how do you get customers/ how do you know what to build? So many questions.

I pretty much try to use an algorithm breakdown that focuses on popular searches when using these apps. I'll definitely check it out!
