Solo entrepreneurs, does it ever get lonely as a 1-person team? What would make the journey easier for you?

Since launching my small business I've had the fortune of finding a cool group of people I work with, but a lot of the time I felt the need to have someone I could bounce ideas off of, someone who would "speak my language".

I'm actually trying to build that as a service for other solo entrepreneurs and beyond my ideas, I'd love to know what the community here would like if they were on the receiving end of a service like this.

The service I'm building is loosely based on what I'm offering existing clients (as fractional COO or consultant + some things my team can research or do for them). These are:

  • daily insights. Industry news, news from their competitors or clients, even relevant books and podcasts that they're interested in. This is as tailored as it gets.
  • weekly check-ins. Planning the week ahead, providing feedback, input, or advice on specific issues with their plans, getting feedback to build daily insights, keeping business owners accountable.
  • monthly strategy sessions.

So far, I have the above as a core service, plus things that I personalized for people. Communication is really non-standard, it happens through Slack, Teams, or email, whatever my clients want most.

But I'm curious, what would you need? What's do you lack as you go through this journey?
