Solo founder here what’s the ops thing that’s secretly killing your momentum right now?

Hey guys I’ve been running a small project solo and I keep hitting the same three operational walls...
Not having clear visibility into real cash runway (revenue looks okay but timing kills you), the mental drain and time suck of early hiring and small risks and admin items that sneak up when you’re focused on growth

Instead of just complaining, I started building a small internal tool to help with exactly these areas (Cash , Talent and Risk).
It’s still very raw, but the process of building it has already taught me a lot.
I’d love to hear from other solo founders and small teams:
What’s the one ops/admin thing that’s currently eating the most of your time or mental energy?
Cash flow timing? Hiring? Bookkeeping? Compliance? Something else?
I'm just genuinely trying to understand the real pain points better. Appreciate any thoughts.

Adding one more angle to this — where does approval/sign-off delay fit in for you? Like waiting on someone to approve a spend or a decision before you can move. Curious if that's part of the "mental overhead" you're describing or a separate pain entirely.

What caught my attention is that the three problems you mentioned all create the same feeling for a founder, but I'm not sure they necessarily create the same product.

Cash uncertainty, hiring uncertainty and operational risk can all drain momentum in similar ways.

The part I'd be most curious about is whether people experiencing those problems end up looking for the same solution or just describing the same frustration from different angles.

Great point thanks for pushing back on this.
You're right that on the surface they feel like different problems. Cash uncertainty, hiring friction, and operational risks can all be solved in isolation.
But what I've observed (and felt myself) is how deeply interconnected they are in real founder life...

Low runway directly changes when and who you can hire
Bad hiring decisions quickly destroy runway and create new risks
Unseen risks (tax, compliance and cash timing) often only become visible when you look at them together

The product isn't trying to be the best standalone bookkeeping tool, best recruiter, or best risk dashboard. It's trying to be the single place that gives you a holistic view and reduces the total mental overhead of "ops as a founder."
That said, this is still very early and your comment makes me question the scope again. Maybe the first version should be narrower. Actually curious what you think if you could only fix one of those three pains right now, which one would you pick and why?

That's actually the part I'd be hesitant to answer confidently in a thread.

The moment one of those pains becomes primary, it tends to change a lot more than just scope.

I've got a few thoughts on that, but it's probably more than I'd try to unpack properly here.

What's the best email to reach you on?
