I’m a solo founder and recently launched a SaaS product called Incident Index.
The idea came from a small tool I originally built for myself after getting tired of writing root cause analyses after outages.
Every incident followed the same pattern: someone would say “we should write the RCA”, and then someone had to turn messy notes into a structured document with a timeline, root cause, contributing factors, remediation, and prevention steps. It usually meant starting from a blank document.
So I built a tool that takes a plain-language incident description and generates:
structured Root Cause Analysis
incident reports
optional 5 Whys analysis
fishbone diagrams
It also stores incidents in a searchable repository so they don’t disappear into tickets or Slack threads. You can collaborate on reports, label them, track versions with diffs, and convert between RCA ↔ incident report with one click. Reports export to PDF or Word.
The product is live here if anyone wants to see it:
https://incidentindex.com
I’m very comfortable building products and infrastructure, but marketing and distribution is not where I’m strongest.
I’d be interested in connecting with someone who understands developer tools, DevOps communities, or SaaS growth who might want to help grow this.
Open to different structures depending on involvement:
profit share
equity
growth partner / co-founder
Curious if anyone here has experience growing developer-focused SaaS products or DevOps tools.

This is interesting. The RCA part especially feels like one of those things teams know they should do but never want to start from scratch.
Curious though, how are teams currently handling this? What actually makes them switch from their usual docs or tools?
