Solo founder, no funding — just launched PolicyGen on Product Hunt today. Free privacy policy generator, built in a few weeks alone. An upvote would mean the world. 👉 https://www.producthunt.com/products/policygen-2?launch=policygen-2
Hey, I just read your launch post. You built an invoice tool as a solo founder with no funding. That takes incredible guts.
What caught my eye: you said this is your first product. Most first-time founders build something, then stare at it hoping users appear. The product isn't the hard part — getting anyone to care is.
Invoice tools are a crowded market (FreshBooks, Wave, Zoho). So what's your angle? Are you targeting freelancers specifically? Making it faster? Cheaper? Zero learning curve?
I ask because the market doesn't need another "invoice tool." It needs a specific solution for a specific group. Nail that and distribution becomes 10x easier.
Happy to help you figure out the marketing positioning if you want.
Big congrats on the launch! Being a solo founder is a marathon, not a sprint. What was the most challenging part of getting this first version out?
