Solo founder struggle: How to price a "nice-to-have" AI product?

I'm building DreamBunny , a private AI dream journal. The feedback on the product itself has been great—people love the interpretations.

But I'm stuck on monetization. Since dream analysis is something people might do sporadically (you don't remember a dream every night), a monthly subscription feels like a hard sell. But a "per-credit" model feels transactional and discourages the "journaling" habit I want to build.

The current idea is that unlogin users will be provided with a free trial version, logged-in users can use the full dream analysis conversation once a day for free, and paid users can use it an unlimited number of times and can also use dream trend analysis.

For those of you with B2C apps that aren't "daily utilities" (like email or task managers), how did you figure out your pricing model? Any advice would be appreciated! 🙏
