Solo founder, working product, active customer conversation. Looking for a technical cofounder who has shipped production fintech.

I'm a solo founder with 17 years in marketing, with deep roots in financial services including Director of Digital Product at Fidelity. I built a borrower signal intelligence platform that automates entity verification for private real estate lenders: Secretary of State, EIN/IRS, OFAC, and bank authentication via Plaid, reconciled into a sealed audit record.

The product is built and working. I recently demoed to one of the most prominent organizations in the private lending industry. They have the materials and are in active evaluation.

What I need is a technical cofounder who can own the backend architecture, harden the security posture on a Supabase and edge-function stack handling sensitive financial data, and be a real partner as we get through the door with this first customer and build from there.

The skill gap I'm specifically trying to fill: someone senior with a full-stack or backend engineering background who understands fintech and security, ideally with early-stage startup experience, who has shipped production APIs and can own the infrastructure layer so I can own what I do well: the market, the product vision, and the relationships. I'm not looking for someone to execute a ticket list. I need someone who can look at a codebase and tell me what's actually wrong.

US-based only, please.

Equity conversation happens after we've worked together. Right now I need to see how we work under pressure. If that goes well, everything else follows.

The product is real and it runs. Happy to show you.

This is a strong post because the product and customer pressure both sound real.

The one thing I’d tighten is the cofounder pitch itself. Right now the role is described clearly, but the emotional hook for the right technical person is probably not “own the backend.” It’s “come in at the moment where security, architecture, and the first real industry customer all matter at once.”

That is a much stronger pull for a senior fintech/security builder than a normal technical cofounder search.

The risk is attracting general full-stack people who can ship, but not someone who understands regulated data, trust, auditability, and production risk.

Happy to put a tighter version in writing if useful. I’d keep it focused on making the technical cofounder ask sharper enough to attract the right kind of senior operator.
