Solo founders who built a SaaS with a great frontend/ui?
by
Michal Mazurek
Does anyone know a SaaS built by an indie hacker that has a great frontend/ui?

a16z says "these startups don't exist yet - it's your time to build." I've been building one.

I love the frontend/ui of Nextless.js, React SaaS Boilerplate using React and Tailwind CSS.
I'm totally biased because I built myself from scratch as a solo founder/solo developer without any design background.
I learnt so much about UI but also UX. Hope this can help you
Sorry for the self plug in advance, but I built https://www.cartamaps.com and although I am primarily a full stack dev, I really enjoy designing user interfaces.
Take a look at cartamaps and let me know what you think.
Most of the inspiration came from a combination of Figma community, landingfolio.com and Dribbble.
I particularly like sidebird.io by @_justlilian!
wow thanks flavio 🤩
There are lots of gems. Check out Tally (https://tally.so/) and Pika (https://pika.style/)
I really loved Tally, is it created by 1 front-end developer or they have a designer as well?
I used SaaS UI https://saas-ui.dev/
Highly recommended, especially if you love Chakra
I'm using chakra for my SaaS currently, is it hard to migrate to SaaS UI?
Not particularly hard, I integrated it into my existing Chakra app without issues. The pro version comes with a starterkit, but I'm only using it as a component library.
Flezr.com by @upenv has a brilliant UI as a no-code tool.
Thanks for the mention. We are already working with a few customers and about to launch on PH next month.
Super biased as I'm building it, but getwaitlist.com has gone through a lot of iterations and I'm particularly happy with the current version :)
https://tail.so is built on top of Notion :)
Well, that's me. You found one.
Infact, I built a whole platform which is optimized to develop SaaS Products
I use Quasar ( Vue JS) for frontend and Symfony ( PHP ) for back-end. I use GraphQL API to glue backend and frontend.
Visit HikeOrders.com to look at few of my micro SaaS products
https://www.airbox.dev The entire application was built by me alone.
Someone, Please roast my UI Skills!

Anything built by @tonydinh!
I think I know what you mean @akfaew. But I would be really curious why you ask!?! 😬
I'm about to post details about my Decentralized Sportsbetting SaaS. I did all the UI/UX: valuebet.app
How about this one ?
https://birdesk.app
What do you think of mine? https://starter.place I tried to make it clean and simple, taking inspiration from GitHub.
I love your product man
Thank you! Much appreciated :)
flexbloc.xyz is pretty clean IMHO
UI has more of a kid theme to it used GSAP for the animations: https://codera.app
It feels like all the links I've clicked in this thread have "Notion-Like interface" at the top of their landing page features. Is that the hallmark of a great front-end in 2023?
Checkout Chatbase.co
I think projectionlab.com has one of the better UI's
Check out @_justlilian. He's building Sidebird.io and it's gorgeous.
ohhh thank you andy!
You really have a wonderful well design and coded UI for Sidebird.io 👍
you guys are being too kind with me haha 🫶
Check what I did for FocusPlus, the landing page is pretty simple and made with Carrd but we worked our ass off on the app.
You can get a preview of the UI/UX in the video if you don't want to signup :)
https://avatarai.me/ was built by a solo dev and the UI looks great
Recently I saw typedream.com and it looks awesome to me.
Currently I'm building one too, a sample is here: vianotion.com
This was built by a team of 5, definitely not a work of an indie hacker :)
Oh, is it? I thought it was by an indie maker. I know the maker of this site from Twitter :)
Just want to throw Sidekick in the ring too :)
I think saavycal.com looks really nice
Yep, that's what I'm looking for, thank you
Stick with a common design pattern. Material design is well thought out. You can also use Apple's design guidelines or Microsoft's.
I do blazor with MudBlazor.
