Solopreneur Project Management Tool
I'm planning to create a tool for Solopreneurs to manage their projects. The features would include:
- Place for clients to login and view the project status or chat with you on live mode.
- Project Timeline: Where you set the timelines for each project and we remind you, on priority, which projects needs your attention.
- Integrated Stripe billing, so that you can send an invoice from this app itself to the client and they can pay and find the invoice always on their portal on the app. We won't be taking any cut from the payments you take from your clients. That's 100% yours. You would have to have your own Stripe account though for this, which we'll connect to the app via APIs.
- A place to keep all your assets related to a project (files, invoices, notes etc) in a particular location always, accessible by both you and your client.
I might be charging $29 for this app.
Now my question is, is there a need for such an app? Would you be willing to pay $29 per month for such an app? Just drop in a YES in the comment section below and if I find enough response, I'll go ahead and create this app.

I think it's absolutely needed--especially the part about the client being able to check on the progress (so they don't have to bug you...as much).
All boils down to the UI/UX for me. There are a ton of project management apps. And.co (owned by Fiverr) is doing a great job at wrapping project managment + time tracking + contracts/proposals + expense tracking. And it's only like $120/yr I think. So you'll wanna validate the sh*t out of that USP.
Ya, that was my initial thought, but I don't think they give you the option to take payments also within the platform, without any commission and also, letting the client view and download the invoices anytime by just loggin in. Is that USP enough to convince a freelancer or a small agency to get into?
Yes, they allow you to connect multiple payment processors. When you send an invoice, client clicks on the payment link and just pays. Very easy process with And.co. And no, they don't take a commission.
Clients can't view/download their invoice online, but it is attached to the invoice email that and.co sends.
Ya, i noticed that today only. I had checked and.co few years ago only, not recently. So, I think it isn't worth to develop that app. That's for the heads up buddy !
I'm not a freelancer, but isn't all of that available on any serious freelance website? Upwork seems to be covering all of that + partial payments on milestones, money arbitrage, and so on. Plus many clients love to add freelancers into their Slack, Asana, and other tools they already use for their own convenience.
Another issue for me is why a freelancer would connect a Stripe account? Isn't an invoice much easier to pay and process and has a smaller commission?
Ya, those platforms are good, but they look overly complex and they take a % comission on each bill. Here, I'm referring to 0% commission on each invoice. Basically, a platform for freelancers or a small agency to connect to their client on a single platform.
Oh, then you should just lead the way with "saving money on transactions". You should validate if this is important for freelancers and clients.
I have my doubts, because if there is trust between freelancer and client, why they can't just do a bank wire transfer? It must be the cheapest, except for some complex international transactions and even there the SWIFT works and commissions are small.
Thanks for the feedback buddy. That isn't the USP I'm trying to sell, since that isn't that big of a matter for freelancers. I was more or less looking at the management side.
