Solving my own problem: Gmail SnoozeBox 😴

I spotted that several times per day I open my Gmail boxes and mark unread emails as read.
2 main problems:

  1. I don't like pressing the "mark as read" button manually 1-2 times each day 🦥
  2. Why do I have so many emails that I don't really interested in? 🤔

So I came up with a dread simple solution: create an extension that will add a so-called "snooze box" where all the unread emails will be put in by the end of the day. After some time these emails will be marked as read automatically.
Also, I want to add an auto unsubscribe feature for emails that often appear in the "snooze box".

P.S.: This is my personal problem that I probably will solve anyway, but I wonder if someone is struggling with it too.

  1. 1

I go through my email with my keyboard, much faster.

    1. use J or K when you're in an email to go to the next email.
    2. Shift + 3 is TRASH. yes... the Hashtag sends emails to the trash. and then I enabled in labs in gmail to automatically go to the next email.
    3. I archive everything. Just archive it.
    4. IF I really really need to get to it, I'll snooze it. Sometimes I snooze stuff for 15 minutes to focus on one email. sometimes I snooze for an hour to get through inbox zero and then come back and work through some things.

Going from mouse clicking to keyboard has made my experience in gmail much much better.

And if you need to unsubscribe a ton: use https://leavemealone.app/
