Somebody please kill Jira

Arent there many alternatives? A Google search seems to think so. Is there a specific feature that you need and they dont have?

i think the power of jira is the integrations not only with 3rd party, but within it's own atlassian ecosystem

I've been thinking recently about how much people complain about Jira and other ticket / task management tools, but I'm wondering what unique idea you have that would differentiate a new product from the existing market

I'm a grudging user of Jira/Confluence. I'm a fan of Basecamp.

Tried to talk my company into switching, but the migration would be "too difficult". I think it's more inertia than anything else.

Asana is another one that is somewhere "between" Trello and Jira in terms of simplicity and functionality.

But yeah, agreed, Jira is extremely customizable. And many orgs shoot themselves in the foot by over-customizing things and make it extremely confusing for their teams.

There are tons of competitor, as much as we love to hate them (just as any other solution) they are above market for many things which is why they are popular, believe me there are way worse solutions out there and we used to hate the gen before just as much if not more

Plus often it's not the actual product you hate here it's the organisation permissions and the configuration/setup you currently have as it's very flexible/versatile

The most popular "alternative" is Trello, which iirc they bought but is independent simpler platform

What don't you like about it? Is Jira ticketing?
