During my 25+ years in sw dev I've always taken pride in building products with true craftsmanship, optimising teams, processes, product and tech.
Then AI came along and laughed in my face. It didn't submit to any of my best practices. Prompt engineering didn't seem like engineering at all, what worked one day failed the next, iterating on natural language "code" was something new, something different. Experimenting with different wordings in prompts, with different ways of wiring workflows meant constantly rewriting code and the overhead was unacceptable. Trying to test it as we test code was practically impossible. Running LLM calls at scale economically was quite a challenge too.
So I built PromptJuggler to solve it all. To bring back the engineering mindset into building on AI. It has been running in production for almost a year, serving millions of prompt and workflow runs every month.
