I'm close to an MVP version of a new project: https://codestash.co/.
This is the first time I'm sharing this link, so I could really use some early feedback.
It's a platform to discover and share resources for developers. I made https://www.reactmilkshake.com/, a React boilerplate, but I couldn't find a place to share or find any other boilerplates. I started to make a list of boilerplates and decided to make an application around it.
One thing I'm not sure about is if I should add more categories (like tools, jobs, etc.) or that I should really focus on useful developer boilerplates and templates. What do you think?
Would love to hear your first thoughts about this project.
Omg, that is so good, I'm totally going to use it, the UI also feels really clean and smooth. 10/10.
Two things could be nice to improve a little:
I opened an API and it has a like button, but when I click it, it does nothing, I suppose I can like things once I have signed up? Would be cool if there was an alert or something asking me to signup/ login.
https://codestash.co/apis/whatsapp-business-api
And on the signup, have to confirm the password.
But loved the project, will keep an eye on it and share with my friends.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
I’m glad you like it and I’m going to implement those improvements soon.
Looks good.
I like the idea of a place to find boilerplate & kit options.
The api list is similar to https://rapidapi.com and https://public-apis.xyz/.
Hi Jake,
Firstly, the overall look and feel is excellent. As a developer myself I am interested in alot of the content here.
A few suggestions:
Your side bar has login and sign-up as two separate actions. Is this required? Typically it would expect to see a single call to action for both.
Is search or filtering on your roadmap? Would love to search by name/tags or filter by most popular (likes or views)
Thank you!
For now, you can only filter on tags, but I will definitely take a look at filtering on most upvotes or popularity. This will be a more useful feature as soon as there are more projects that are getting posted.
My apologies I missed the ability to filter via tags. A few more detailed notes:
Styling: during filter when there is a single card present the image is not sized properly (image text is cut off)
Filtering: If I apply multiple filter tags I can break the filtering and receive the following error: Invalid Query. 'array-contains-any' filters.
Thanks for letting me know!
I would 100% use something like this. It's just…developer candy…everywhere 😍
Honestly, I don't have any critiques of consequence. I love that you had a vision and executed it in such mouth-watering fashion. I don't know if it fits your model, but it'd be great to have a section for snippets, UI kits, deals, etc.
Forget Product Hunt collections. I'm gonna go live at CodeStash now.
Thanks! I really needed some positive feedback so I'm glad to hear you like it!
I was actually also thinking about adding a code snippets section. And a tools section will also be cool I think, but I might need to focus on the initial version first and get some more people on the platform. But I'm having that on my roadmap!
