Sosai Studio started as something else.

Hi Indiehackers,

Sosai Studio started as something else. It was an AI assisted branding platform selling a productized service, and the demand never came. The one part that worked every single time we watched someone use it was the bit at the very beginning: the briefing.

So we cut the rest and rebuilt that one piece as its own product. And we made it free, because a briefing tool only works if both ends use it. Charge the client and they go back to sending a paragraph and a logo file.

What it does

You paste the client's website. It crawls the page, takes the screenshots and measures the brand colours out of the stylesheet. On a real briefing that filled eight of fourteen fields before anyone answered anything. Saya then asks only the questions nobody could answer from the material, and on the hard ones it talks it through and proposes wording. The style question is asked in pictures instead of adjectives, and every tone of voice comes with a written sample so you can read how it sounds before you pick it. 39 project types, each with the question set it actually needs. Out comes one structured brief: on screen, as a PDF, and as a share link.

What it deliberately does not do. Our audience has good reasons to distrust AI, so these are commitments, not preferences.

It does not design. No generated logos, no generated layouts, no generated images. It does not talk to your client without you. It never invents a fact: colours are measured, text is read, and where the model infers something the field says so until you confirm it. And it tells you when it cannot read something instead of guessing at it.

Free means unlimited briefings, the full dialog, the document, the PDF and the share link. Pro is $29 a month and puts your studio's name and logo on the brief instead of ours, and lets your client fill it in themselves.

I would genuinely like to know where it falls over. Especially from people who brief designers for a living, and from the designers on the receiving end.
