Spent a weekend building a HEIC converter after my cousin sent me 47 iPhone photos Windows couldn't open

My cousin sent me 47 photos from her iPhone.

Every single one was .heic. My Windows PC

couldn't open a single one.

I Googled converters. Every one either wanted

me to create an account or upload personal

photos to a server I'd never heard of.

So I just built one myself using heic2any +

HTML5 Canvas API. Runs 100% client-side.

No backend, no uploads, pure vanilla JS.

Took a weekend. Handles HEIC, AVIF, SVG,

batch converts 20 files, downloads as ZIP.
