Hey everyone, I'm Shivam, founder of Dynamite Docs.
I've been working on a problem that kept coming up whenever I tried to extract data from documents.
Every OCR tool I tried assumed I was an enterprise company with an IT team.
Before uploading a single document, I had to deal with things like:
Configuring templates
Defining schemas
Mapping fields
Setting up workflows
Figuring out how to handle different document formats
The actual problem wasn't extracting text. It was turning unstructured documents into useful, structured data without spending hours setting everything up.
That's why I started building Dynamite Docs.
Dynamite Docs is an AI-powered document extraction tool designed to make document processing simpler.
The goal is straightforward: upload a document, describe what information you need, and get structured data back.
No complicated enterprise setup. No manually configuring templates for every document type.
I'm still early in the journey, and there's a lot to improve. Right now, I'm particularly interested in learning:
What types of documents people struggle with most.
How developers and small businesses currently handle document extraction.
Whether existing OCR tools are too complicated for smaller teams.
What features would make an AI document extraction workflow genuinely useful.
I'm building this in public and would love feedback from other founders, developers, and people working with documents regularly.
What document extraction problems have you run into?
