Spouse is also a developer?
Not to brag about it, but I converted my partner from non-tech into a developer. 😄
She was not happy at her old job, and was looking for something else to do. I showed her some bits of web development and got her hooked. Then signed her up for Udemy courses and then a full-time coding bootcamp.
She's been working as a dev for the past year. Pretty happy about it. You can read my blog here.

Do you work at the same company? Or even on the same project?
My wife taught herself to code over 12 months too! Then she applied to a company I had recently joined. We've been working at the same place for almost a year now. We're on different teams but all the engineering teams sit near each other in the office.
There's some cross-over with projects so we work together sometimes. We've also been doing some pair-programming during the UK's lockdown. I wrote a blog post about how we've been getting on.

The rest of her learning was project-based — using docs/youtube/blogs. She also found meetups to be invaluable. I believe what helped her stand out was her full-stack portfolio and personal website, as well as the way she framed her learning as a 'self-directed bootcamp'.

My wife and I didn't work for the same company. Probably that's better to separate work from personal life. That's our original take.
With the lockdown, everyone works from home. We may change our mind. We like the flexibility of working anywhere we want, with no need of commuting. My company is more friendly to remote work than hers, so one day we may end up working at the same place. We'll see!
