Stage Timer: Are you working with presentations / livestreams / events? I need your feedback

A friend of mine has a studio where he mainly records educational content. He uses an old laptop with a little tool written in flash as a timer. I thought by myself "Surely there is a modern web-based app out there we can use instead".

Well, there wasn't. There were some Mac and Windows apps, but nothing like I thought there would be.

But I am a web dev, so I can build it myself!

Requirements:

  • Nice timer app that runs in the browser
  • Can display messages for the speaker
  • Can be remote controlled with another device through the internet

It's free and I want to use it to learn how to launch and grow a product. If it catches on I will add some premium features and see if I can get customers.

Are you working with presentations / livestreams / events? Can you tell me if the landing page brings the purpose across?

If you need some help with presentations and pitches, I recently started a company that helps people excel in those fields. Check it out https://graphue.com/ . Any critique is welcomed.

Most of the tools that you will see people use to do live-streams have in-built timers, it's very odd that your friend uses a flash plugin to do that.
That being said your page explains perfectly what your webapp does, so I think you've done a good job with it!
I would however love to see a little bit more around, when and how to use this app - when there are so many alternatives out there. Like what's the unique selling point that makes everyone else out there not worth it, compared to yours.

Thank you for the feedback. It is odd indeed.

I saw that you have a product for Streamers and a youtube channel about landing pages :D

Can you recommend one of your videos where the USP is particularly well explained as an example?
