Stand-Up #35 - March 13th, 2020

Found some errors in my personal and corporate tax returns and had the accountant fix them today before submitting everything 😤 Not a fan of how difficult the government makes it to give them money.

I made the decision to reduce scope today and cut out the "digit transition" functionality, which would've been a series of different CSS animations/transitions each second as the timer counted down. It would've taken a lot of time and I don't think it's necessary/adds to the main value prop of the app, which is creating urgency within a given market audience.

Other interesting developments - my employees and I will be working from home for the next few weeks as our contract wraps up and this virus takes its toll on the continental United States. Funnily enough, our contract is with a cruise line, so I'm glad it's ending soon because we probably wouldn't have jobs anyway in the coming month or two if I had tried to extend it 😆

I also ordered a second monitor to make these next few work-from-home weeks easier. I've always been a savage and used a single screen, but I think this emergency calls for a little upgrade.

I did finally stock up on Honey Nut Cheerios... I am so ready for a quarantine lol
