About that new macOS product.
Up until a couple of years ago there used to be a web site that could help you identify what processes are running on your mac.
In order to do so, you would have to run a command from the terminal and then upload the output of that command to the website. That would then tell you what each process does. The web site no longer exists and I'm not mentioning the name of that site as it nowadays -in the best case- redirects to a spammy website or -in the worst case- a malware site.
So the new macOS product is a "Process Describer" and will work a bit like "Activity Monitor". With the product being a local macOS product there's a lot more one can do in a much more user friendly way. Besides that I do have more ideas on how-to extend functionality.
At the moment I am not completely settled on the name, Process Analyst might also work, but anything works as far as I'm concerned. For the moment let's call it "Process Describer".
Also still pondering on the monetization scheme. I think that for it to work, the tool should be free. Especially as I am kick starting the database from an old copy of "unnamed site". Note that the content of that site -while still helpful- is out of date, so it takes quite a bit of massaging in order to make sure that referenced website links still exists, different links, fix file locations etcetera... It really is amazing how fast things move within Apple's ecosystem.
For monetization I can see 2 ways for now

Kudos to @flog for his idea on servicing food trucks. Back when we lived in SE Asia we used to eat street food all the time and loved it.
The reveal! How would this differ from Mac's Activity Monitor? (Smiling) And if you need some word-smithing support for an app name, you know I'm here!
Activity Monitor tells you a number of things about the processes. Like how busy that process is and what resources it is using (CPU/Disk/Network).
What it does not mention however is what the process is used for.
As an example it doesn't mention what process "awdd" is for. I'm fairly technical, but there's a lot of processes in my activity monitor that I have no idea about what it is for and if it is supposed to be there. This is where "Process Describer" comes in as it tells you that awdd is part of the apple Wireless Diagnostics framework and "a system daemon that collects diagnostics and usage data locally for users that have opted in."
This is a pretty neat idea for a product. I hope to see it launch! I mean I run ps -aux and look up info from time to time so something like this could be very neat to see.
Thanks, I hope it will be useful, that's one of the main goals.

SIDENOTE
Today I'm focused on extracting and organizing the data from all my files on the problem into 1 readable doc. Need to see and understand what I've learned about customer pain. This task is sooooo tedious. I think I'll edit and update simultaneously to get through this. Editing transcriptions can take forever!!!
Knock it down, chick! Look forward to reading your progress today!

I sat down for the first time in a week (extreme hell at the day job) and mapped out September's plans for the business and growth.
Today
Finishing the new Repobox homepage that will feature popular Laravel packages and have a nice big entry to the package search engine. Then birthday dinner with the wife!

Yes sir!
Posting from my phone, but I'll be headed home to hustle after my nephew's soccer game so today counts for me.
Finished feature development for major update to generators. Need to deploy and smoke test but seems to function as intended so I'm thinking it'll be smooth given all the ci/cd work I did months back.
It's finally at a level where I'd recommend it to past employers and use it directly on client work. Primary http verb support, decent response codes, paging/searching/sorting collections, data shaping...basically all the thingz I wanted.
Today I'll be:
It's also beginning of semester so I may reach out to some colleges that are local with an offer for CS students. Maybe offer a student discount or special semester long subs.
Kudos to @Davey killing it this week.
