Standalone app vs Embedded app

By the end of 2021, Shopify is going to enforce all embedded apps to use Session Token Authentication & App Bridge.

Which way do you prefer and why?

I'm asking because my embedded app (built on Django) must upgrade to use App Bridge and Session Token in order to work around 3rd party cookies. I'm thinking which way is better.
