Siddhant Daigavane, a solo indie developer from India, set himself an ambitious challenge in early 2025: to launch a new iOS app every month for six months. His goal was to learn quickly what resonates with users by experimenting widely — a “spray-and-pray” approach to product creation and marketing.

Rather than investing months into one big idea, Siddhant built and released five distinct apps, each with a unique purpose and audience. His journey, especially through the creation of UpRight, reflects a deliberate choice to start small and focus on solving simple, real problems. Inspired by essays that encouraged founders to aim for small, practical wins instead of grand, risky projects, he concentrated on fast, achievable builds that could generate quick feedback and modest success.

By journaling everyday frustrations, engaging with online communities, and identifying recurring pain points, Siddhant found inspiration for his apps — including LockIn Daily, a minimalist habit tracker and time-blocking tool that became his first meaningful hit. His story illustrates how consistent iteration and a focus on usefulness can accelerate learning and early growth in indie development.
