Newsletter is https://mythicalai.substack.com/
This latest round of growth is 100% from Substack recommendations.

I didn't ask for recommendations. I have only done 1 recommendation swap with another newsletter.
I would like to think if you just write great content, and share it, people will notice.
I try to make each post something that someone would share with someone at their company or save to reference later.
Cool! Why you selected Substack? Any particular benefits?
I selected Substack because it is the default. Like you would use Wordpress for a blog, you use Substack for a newsletter.
They also help you gain subscribers. See the image above. 340 subscribers from recommendations etc is powerful.
good question

damn, so you can gain organic audience
Yep. They help you gain an audience. It still is a bunch of work but they aid you.
Hey @joshdance -- have you tried LetterGrowth.com for cross-promotions? Made by @pauldmet — it's a valuable FREE database of newsletters looking to do swaps/cross-promos.
Haven't tried it yet. Have you? Did you like it?
Yes! It's free and simple to use. Over 300 newsletters there now as of today. Just connected with a newsletter willing to do a cross-promo that's 9x my subscriber size. Highly recommend!
Looks promising. How did you attracted first 100 subscribers?
Posted it on FB, and shared it on Twitter when people were talking about subjects I wrote about.
Whoa! Also Substack explore section helps us adds more subscribers.
I am building SponsorBoost where you can find sponsors for your newsletter. Would you like to sign up?
Overall, how do you think that your newsletter would be performing in comparison if you hadn't chosen Substack? Is Substack doing the "heavy lifting" for you, or is the majority of your subscribers coming from other sources outside Substack?
Substack is adding probably 33% of the subscribers.
I am doing the heavy lifting but Substack is a boost.
Beehiv would do similarly I think.
are you monetizing your subscribers or not yet?
Not yet. I had an offer to sponsor a story.
Congrats! Hoping I can start to get the same amount of engagement on my newsletters
Subscribers and engagement is different. I get about 50% open rates which is good.
