I have been blogging on Medium and now I have decided to create my own blog at https://jacklilliedev.com I am going to be posting my views on the latest tech news and I will also be posting guides for Flutter. My newsletter can be found at https://newsletter.jacklillie.dev.
I am thankful for this community being so motivating and accepting I hope to contribute here for a long time to come <3
glad you're writing! just don't stop! find a good rhythm and schedule.. and then don't quit.
Thanks for the kind and encouraging words! I'll keep going I am aiming for a post every 1-2 days and I think I can sustain that.
can i give you a tip? (i've been writing publicly every day for 19 years...)
try to be more explicit with your goal — this is how you know if you're pacing and you can do more discrete experiments.
for instance, instead of doing "one post every 1-2 days", try "i'll publish something every tuesday & friday for the next 3 months".
what's nice about this is that you'll know with 💯 certainty if you succeeded in this experiment or failed. consequently, you'll have a more objective point of view when you decide to continue, alter course, or quit altogether (hopefully you won't!).
writing is the most important skill that i've developed in my career, bar-none:

Oh and by the way, if you need your writing to be reviewed, edited, or need help clarifying your ideas, let me know. I can pick up on things that most people overlook when it comes to clarity and voice.
Hey Jack.Having your own site for a blog is a great idea. It keeps everything centralized. How often do you publish? I've been blogging everyday since January 1 of this year. Sticking to a routine is going to help you get better at communicating your ideas. And communicating your ideas is going to help you build more trust and value for those that you want to help out and serve. Good luck. I'd love to keep this conversation going by the way, since I could talk about this for hours. Feel free to message me about writing, blogging, tech, leverage, creativity.
I just started yesterday but I am going for 1 post every 1-2 days, I want a minimum of 5 posts a week if I can handle that. I just need to keep creating good quality content then work on my SEO as well, generating backlinks etc.
I'm sure you can handle that. If you can't, no worries. Find a schedule that works for you. Your best SEO will be what you promise to deliver. Insight, tips, advice, stories, especially stories. Information without story is just noise. Keep it up. I'm excited for what this is going to become for you. Blogging regularly is one of the best ways to practice writing (and building an audience is just the icing on the cake).
