Starting a freelance/agency career and need a boost? Let's grow together!

Hey folks,

My name is Mo, I'm the cofounder of Gadget (gadget.dev), a serverless stack that allows you to build declarative backends incredibly quickly by focusing your time on the business logic of your app, and absolving you of the boilerplate. We're focused on ecommerce right now, but plan on expanding to other verticals soon.

[7 minute video demo of me starting, finishing, deploying an ecommerce app: https://gadget.wistia.com/medias/ev4aguo6m3]

We're looking to partner with a group of 20 early stage freelancers that want to kickstart a lucrative career for themselves. A 'fellowship' of sorts where:

  • Gadget offers you early, free access to the platform
  • The Gadget team, staffed by ex-Shopify execs and leaders, will help you identify opportunities in the ecommerce ecosystem that have legs.
  • Access to capital through a group of ecomm veterans (ex Shopify, Woocommerce, Shopify) that offer more than just money (read: useful advice to help grow your business)

As for why ecommerce is a great place to start a freeelance career:

  • the average Shopify app developer makes 4-8X as much as the average Google/FB/Apple developer (souce: Shopify Unite 2021)
  • Ecommerce merchants that have lots of money (they're all for-profit ventures), and they spend that money on software to make their business grow or operate more efficiently. This makes ecomm app stores a lot less speculative than B2C app stores.
  • There is a supply-demand imbalance in select app stores, like Shopify, where legacy apps of poor quality and high prices have yet to be replaced by a new generation of quality applications. This represents an interesting opportunity to compete.

If you're interested in advancing your freelance career, using a tech stack that will give you unfair advantages against the incumbents, and getting help from a bunch of tech veterans along the way, fill out this form: https://forms.gle/jguLhJZwaNDcB4C29

We'll be selecting 10-20 applicants in the next week. I'd love to work with as many of you folks to mutually grow our respective businesses.
