Starting a new project - Apitoms
I've decided to start a new project this summer called Apitoms.co.
My new project is basically "data as a service" platform. The purpose is to give the customer all the data (or parts of data) he needs to start his project. In order words, the goal is to bootstrap his project with data. Data will be provided in any of the following formats: JSON (file and as an API service), XML, CSV and YAML. The customer will be able to retrieve all or only parts of the data available to him in all of these formats.
For starters, I will only provide basic information related to all the countries in the world, but it will go further than this as I progress. Some of my ideas that have in mind: international airports, car companies with car models and any sports teams...
This project will be also helpfull for my last project, Cultural Insights, since I need a list of all the countries in the world with some basic information.

I am always looking for the right kind of data to build my model off of. If ya need any ideas on data sets let me know.
I know there are several sites that provide already scraped data, public data and such.

Some of these I get off of Kaggle, but many times I have to put them together and do some estimation on the blanks.

Loosely targeted I agree. This thing can go really wide in terms of what I will do with it. I'll start with countries and add progressively more data to it.
The audience is the developpers in the first place. Although I think non-developers could find it useful too, even though they are not my target audience.
The goal is to sell the formated data with one time fee (for example 49,99 $ for all the international airports file in JSON). When someone pays for this, they can also choose to use the API for a monthly fee. The API option will not be available if you don't pay for the data itself. Also, naturally, paying for airports data won't give you access to other data such as countries for example. The plus side of this service is that it let's you select only the specific data relevant to you and transform it to any file format you wish.
You can use the CSS if you want, no problem.
Yes I'm aware of rapidapi, I've been using this in the past. It's just not exactly what I needed, there's a lot of information that I don't need and there's not everything that I need at the same time.
