Hey IndiHackers.
I'm excited to share my new project. A personal carbon offset application,
this is my first go at it so any feedback big or small would be greatly appreciated.
The application will use your bank feed to calculate your live footprint, show you how you can easily reduce it and help you to offset your footprint by contributing to reforestation projects.
I am currently working on validating and want a site to share with people and start tracking interest.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks Bramburn, I am trying to collect as much info as I can, but the main area I am focusing on validating is a rewards system and revenue model.
Are you doing interviews with the emails you’re gathering?
Also how are you generating traffic?
I'm not sure how many people are going to be ok with connecting their bank accounts to your app.
Your site is not secure as well, not a great way to convey trust with users who need to supply their bank info!

Yes I totally agree an SSL certificate is necessary before this goes live, just haven't done it yet.
Also, the integration is handled by third party software with bank-level security. perhaps I should have a section explaining that?
Yeah definitely! Anything to do with bank info would need to display a strong level of security and trust :)
